scandal at waitrose…is there no place safe to shop?

Anyone familiar with Waitrose, and its parent company, John Lewis, will know they pride themselves on selling “ethically produced” goods.  That’s a direct quote from an in-store sign I observed today.  Also observed today, in the section selling gardening products, was Roundup by Monsanto.

How can this be?  And what should we do about it?  If you live in the UK, whether or not you shop at either Waitrose or one of the outlets of John Lewis, please flood them with protests.  Nothing less than withdrawal of Roundup, a grovelling apology and withdrawal of partnership status from the person responsible will do…at least in my, admittedly, very, very angry and betrayed view.
